ASlight is an award-winning team of independent lighting designers, founded by Anna Sbokou in 2009 in London. In 2014 the Athens studio was also established. The team is made of 6 permanent members and 5 external collaborators of various specialization in lighting design and lighting related sectors.
Completed works includes high profile exhibitions, leisure, high-end hospitality, commercial, exterior and residential projects, all around the world. In full support of the spirit of collaboration, ASlight also frequently participates in international lighting design teams as external consultant.

Anna Sbokou
Principal Lighting Designer
Anna is the founder of ASlight, and has worked on local and international projects for over 15 years. She specializes in high-end, human-centric lighting design. Completed works includes high profile exhibitions, leisure, hospitality, commercial, cultural, exterior and residential projects, as well as theatre productions and temporary art installations world-wide. She has also collaborated with other designers, such as Zerlina Hughes at studiozna in London, Paula Rainha at synapse in Lisbon and Gustavo Aviles at lighteam in Mexico City, as an independent consultant. She is frequently participating in international conferences as guest speaker and was briefly teaching at the University of Mexico City.

Catia Milia-Argeiti
Senior Lighting Designer
Catia is an architect and a lighting designer, based in Athens. She studied architecture at the University of Patras (UP) and she attended the Master’s program ‘Architectural Lighting Design’ in the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH). Her architectural background gave her the ability to develop a project from the conceptual stage to its final detail. Her lighting design approach is human-centric and covers a broad thematic, from the lighting of indoor and outdoor spaces to luminaire design. She believes in the power of light to improve the quality of daily life and reactivate public space.

Marianna Mourla
Senior Lighting Designer
Marianna is an architect and lighting designer. She graduated from the Technical University of Patras, Greece, Department of Architecture, in 2006. After graduation, she worked as an architect, and in 2010, she attended the Architectural Lighting Design MSc program at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.She also has an interest in stage lighting design and has completed a course at the National Theatre of Greece.Starting her career as a lighting designer in 2014, she has been involved in numerous projects, primarily in the hospitality sector, as well as in exterior and residential projects.

Ulee Stylianidou
Senior Lighting Designer
Ulee Stylianidou graduated from the University of Patras’ Architecture Department and completed postgraduate studies in Lighting Design (HOU). She also studied Visual Arts at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), graduating first in her class with a scholarship. Panagiota’s work spans architecture, sculpture, painting, lighting design, and exhibition curation. She has experience as a designer and production manager in the private sector and has worked in the Greek National Opera’s Technical Department. She has been part of a research team at Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, and collaborates with the “Boulouki” collective. Her work has earned recognition in competitions and exhibitions worldwide.

Ioanna Kotoula
Lighting Designer
Ioanna is an Interior Designer and a graduate of the University of West Attica (February 2020). She has been working as an Interior Designer since 2018 and has participated in architecture-related exhibitions since July 2016. In 2024, she completed her postgraduate studies in Lighting Design (MSc) at the Hellenic Open University. She has worked on various projects, including marine interior design, retail shops, residential and hospitality projects, handling everything from concept development to construction details and applications.

Penny Oikonomou
Lighting Designer
Penny is an Interior Architect and Lighting Designer based in Athens, Greece. She holds a degree in Interior Architecture, Decorative Arts and Design from the University of West Attica, and pursued a Master’s degree in Lighting Design at the Hellenic Open University. She has contributed to many architectural projects, combining her expertise in interior design and lighting. Penny approaches lighting as a poetic element in design—believing that lighting a space is like composing a melody, where the pauses are just as important as the notes in creating atmosphere. With professional experience both as a lighting designer and as a consultant, she has developed a deep understanding of the lighting market and the wide range of tools it offers to achieve the desired lighting outcome.

Aliki Aravantinou-Zafeiri
Junior Lighting Designer
Aliki is an Interior Designer and a graduate of Vakalo Art & Design College in partnership with the University of Derby (March 2021). Since 2022, she has collaborated with interior design studios on various F&B and residential projects. She chose to specialize in Lighting Design, with a particular interest in architectural and theatrical lighting. Since joining ASlight, she has participated in educational seminars on both interior and theatrical lighting to deepen her understanding of lighting principles and techniques.She is currently enrolled in the Architectural Lighting Certificate program at the University of Colorado Boulder to further expand her expertise.

Olena Kondrashevska
Junior Lighting Designer
Olena is a certified Interior Designer with a Master of Science in Architectural Lighting Design from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and a Master of Science in Design of Architectural Environment from Ukraine. With over 12 years of experience, she has developed a deep understanding of space, light, and functionality.
Her expertise spans architectural lighting and interior design, where she has contributed to large-scale projects, balancing creativity with technical precision. As a Project Manager and Interior Architect, she has led design processes, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to each project’s needs. Since joining ASlight, she continues to apply her knowledge in lighting and spatial design, crafting environments that enhance both aesthetics and usability.

Eirini Chatzi
Studio Manager-GR
Eirini is a cultural manager and filmmaker based in Athens, Greece. She holds an MSc in Cultural Unit Management, a BA in English Language and Culture, and a Diploma in Cinema and Television Direction.For the past nine years, she has been involved in numerous film, theatre, and TV productions, taking on roles such as director, editor, producer, cinematographer, line producer, and executive producer.Since 2018, she has also worked in cultural event management, serving as head of communications, tour manager, music event organizer, and producer.
